Writing an online 12 week weight management programme
Appletree has been commissioned, via the British Dietetic Association, by NHS Health Scotland to write a 12 week online adult weight management programme. The 12 week programme will be hosted on the NHS Inform website.
This an exciting project for us and we will be working on this from now until the summer. I am working with a small team which includes a clinical psychologist and a social researcher to help with the development of the programme.
We are very keen to reach as many people as possible to get their views on how best an online weight management programme would work for them. Our first stage is asking people who are currently actively engaged in or considering weight management, as well as those who have previously tried weight management, to answer our short questionnaire. We need your views so please follow this link to the questionnaire. It will only take you about 4-5 minutes to complete and the online questionnaire closes on Sunday 31st March 2019.
We are particularly interested to know the topics you feel are most important for you to have information on and to think about when trying to management your weight. We have included a question around what is the best advice anyone has ever given you, as I am sure that there are many great gems out there. We also want to know what you would like the web pages to look like in terms of font type, size, colour; the use of picutres or videos; and how easy it is to link with other useful online tools and websites.
